CNN: «President Donald Trump became famous as financial success incarnate. Now, there’s a seven-foot-tall portrait of the President literally made from money. Daniel Green and his partner, Daria Marchenko, recently made headlines. The idea for the Trump portrait was sparked, when the US President thanked Putin for expelling US diplomats, saying he had saved America a lot of money. He also talked about saving America money when he pulled out of the Paris climate accord. Daniel Green: «He only talks about money. We have bigger problems like nuclear war and climate change.»

Український Інститут Модерного Мистецтва (UIMA) в Чикаго має честь представити надзвичайну експозицію мистецьких робіт "П'ять Елементів Війни" двох сучасних художників з України: Дарії Марченко та Даніеля Гріна. Запрошується громаду міста Чикаго та околиць прибути на відкриття, під час фестивалю Українські Дні, та під час виставки до 18 вересня, 2017. Дар'я та Даніель відкрито стоять в опозиції військовій агресії, яка захопила східний регіон Донбасу. Митці йдуть слідом багатої історії протестного мистецтва та створюють емоційно-заряджені роботи про мотиви, жорстокість, та наслідки війни. Намагаючись подолати розрив між спостерігачем та реальністю війни, художники використовують гільзи, фрагменти ракет, обламки гранат та документи, зібрані з поля бою на кордоні з Росією. Дар'я та Даніель будуть присутніми на відкритті виставки і поділяться своїм досвідом створення робіт, новини про які облетіли весь світ.

MBC TV: «Two artists from Ukraine, Daria Marchenko and Daniel Green,  have unveiled a portrait of U.S. President Donald Trump created in a highly unusual way. Artists used heat to bring out varying degrees of color in the coins, mixed with paint for Trump’s famous hair. They used casino chips for his jacket, a reflection of Trump’s past as a casino magnate — and his penchant for being a risk-taker. President Trump’s face, covered with hundreds of closely arranged coins. The artists explained that they chose coins as their medium to emphasize the idea that dignity and honor should stand above money. The artwork took three months to complete. Previously, in 2014, the artists created a portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin using spent bullet casings collected after attacks in eastern Ukraine, conveying a powerful anti-war message.»

VOA TV: «The Face of War» ironically consists of only one picture — a portrait of V. Putin made up of some 5,000 empty cartridge casings from the front lines in eastern Ukraine, where government forces battled Russian-backed separatists. The exhibition’s organizers also laid razor wire on the floor in front of the portrait, adding additional symbolism. As lighting in the exhibit changes, Putin’s expression seems to change as well - from excited to frightened and even demonic. Daria Marchenko says she hopes Putin will hear about the exhibition... and perhaps change his behavior too. «I think there is no dictator in the world who will tell you honestly what kind of thoughts he has when he is alone in the cold night, but I believe they can feel what kind of future is waiting for them.»

The artwork, titled Face of Money, took three months to complete. According to the artists, there were several reasons why they chose Donald Trump as the subject of their latest piece. The artists unanimously state that the work conveys a wide range of emotions that shift depending on the lighting.»

Украинские художники Дарья Марченко и Даниэль Грин создали из мелких монет огромный портрет президента США Дональда Трампа.

В зависимости от освещения лицо Трампа может выглядеть гордым, детским, маниакальным или комичным. 

Художники говорят, что в портрете использовали мелкие монеты, чтобы показать, что можно быть богатым и дешевым одновременно. Костюм Трампа сделали из покерных фишек, чтобы подчеркнуть его азартность.  Над изображением американского президента художники работали три месяца.

««Five Elements of War" is an exhibit of five extraordinary installations by Daria Marchenko and Daniel Green, two contemporary artists from Ukraine, who expressed their opposition of the military aggression in the Donbas region of Ukraine on the border with Russia. The exhibit opened on August 18 in Chicago at the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art and will be on display until September 18. It is an important exhibit for its message but also for its original artistic approach. Motria Melnyk, president of Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, welcomed the guests at the opening, which was attended by several hundred viewers, including Bishop Benedict of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, the consuls of Barbados, Croatia, Czech Republic, Italy, Mexico, the Consul General of Ukraine Larysa Gerasko, and many aficionados of the art community of Chicago, as well as art lovers of the Ukrainian-American community..."

Это второй портрет из серии. До этого Марченко и Грин создали произведение "Лицо войны". Это портрет российского президента Владимира Путина. Он выполнен из гильз, привезенных из Донбасса.

ABD Başkanı Trump her konuşmasında ABD'nin ne kadar zenginleştiğinden, ekonominin ne kadar güçlü olduğundan bahsetmeden edemiyor. Ukraynalı iki sanatçı ise zenginliğini dilinden düşürmeyen ABD Başkanı'nın portresini, bozuk paralardan yaptı.

Uma dupla de artistas da Ucrânia fez uma peça só com moedas de dólar sobre Donald Trump. Daria Marchenko e Daniel Green fizeram um retrato do presidente dos EUA com centenas de moedas, todas propositadamente de baixo valor. Chamaram à obra "Cara do Dinheiro", tal como já tinham feito com a peça "Cara da Guerra", onde ilustraram Putin com balas.

112TV: «The exhibition titled The Five Primary Elements of War has opened at the Ukrainian Institute of America in New York. To discuss its success, we’re joined by the project’s co-author: «Could you tell us how many visitors the exhibition has been attracting, and what kind of feedback you’ve been receiving?»

Daria Marchenko: “We had a success in Chicago, and now we’re experiencing the same in New York. People understand everything very well. They ask for explanations, but even without them, they are deeply shocked and profoundly moved by what they see. I think that’s because this project is something that would have come into existence regardless of whether we had created it. It is something that needed to be born, and something that needed to be heard.»

Ukrainian artists Daria Marchenko and Daniel Green's exhibit "Five Elements of War" is making waves.

It debuted at the Ukrainian Institute on the Upper East Side of New York.

VOA TV: «As Russian President Vladimir Putin was addressing the United Nations in New York, he was also being featured in an art exhibition in Washington. Not a flattering exhibit, it’s rendered in a unique medium that its Ukrainian creators, Daria Marchenko and Daniel Green, call not only a work of art, but a political statement. Daria Marchenko: «Ukraine’s losses in the war are getting bigger and bigger. Only we Ukrainians can feel this, and people from all around the world don’t have the same understanding. The quantity of the grief around us was a sign that we have to use a lot of shells.»  Since first publicly showing the project, Daria Marchenko has received feedback from around the world, including messages from Algeria, the Netherlands, Syria, and Russia. While most were positive, even seemingly supportive letters from Russia were threats.»

33-year old Ukrainian artist Daria Marchenko has created a portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin from 5,000 empty bullet cases, collected in the separatist east of Ukraine, where the conflict between pro-Russian rebels and government forces has been raging for almost sixteen months.

Мозаїку "Обличчя війни" було представлено у Києві. Далі вона вирушає у турне. Вiн змінює вираз обличчя - від здивованого до демонічного. Марченко Дарія каже, що Путін - це та людина, яка віддає накази вбивати українських солдатів. Для неї кожна гільза - це чиєсь обірване життя. Тому художниця намагалася використовувати мінімум фарб, аби саме гільзи створювали емоційне забарвлення полотна...

L'arte è un mezzo d'espressione potente. Nel caso dell'opera 'The Face of War' lo è quanto una scarica di proiettili. Parliamo del lavoro dell'artista ucraina Dariya Marchenko, chee ha realizzato un ritratto del presidente russo Vladimir Putin utilizzando ben 5mila cartucce raccolte nelle zone di conflitto dell'Ucraina orientale. “Per me il volto della guerra è quello di Putin, perché non fa altro che dare ordini e diffondere menzogne”, spiega Dariya. “Ma con l'aiuto di questa immagine voglio far capire che le persone vedono qual è la realtà delle cose. E soprattutto voglio ricordare a lui e a tutta la società che la guerra significa perdita di vite umane”. A rappresentare quelle vite scomparse sono appunto i bossoli, che a seconda dell'illuminazione conferiscono al volto espressioni diverse. Diverse come le sfaccettature di un opera che può piacere o meno, ma che sicuramente è destinata a far discutere

На картинах художниці Дарії Марченко вони відтворюють енергетику війни та образ того, хто стоїть за конфліктом. Обличча винуватця війни художниця презентувала ріік тому. Um retrato de dois metros de altura feito a partir de 5 mil cápsulas de balas: é assim que a ucraniana Daria Marchenko enxerga o presidente russo Vladimir Putin. Na semana que vem, a artista faz as malas para exibir suas obras em universidades e museus dos Estados Unidos

Даниэль Грин, путешественник, фри-клаймбер и художник - маринист, в 2014 году первым покорил Иорданскую вершину в пустыне Вади-Рам. Без страховки и сподручных инструментов. Пик Дарьи назван в честь художницы Дарьи Марченко. (29 37 55 с.ш. 35 27 06 в.д.) (h- 290 м., 1174 над уровнем моря)
